The ICL Team
The Directors and Senior Management of ICL have many years' experience of top level
management within the security industry:
Philip Hall – Operations Director
Philip Hall has been involved in the Security Industry for over 30 years. In 1975
he joined the Metropolitan Police and in 1982 he started working in the freelance
area of Investigations, close Protection and manned Security.
Philip is a Physical Security Consultant. He was employed in Brunei in the 1990’s
running a private guard force comprising of over 500 staff on behalf of the Brunei
Royal Family.
Having gained experience all over the world within the manned guarding industry
he returned to the UK in 1999 and has since been working in the contract uniformed
security industry. He worked for Executive Secure Services in 2000-2002 as an Operations
Manager responsible for a portfolio of over £3 million, in running these companies
and operations he introduced a wide range of innovations and improvements.
Philip is a Director of UK Business Watch Ltd and ICL Security Ltd. Since joining
ICL in 2007 he has overseen turnover climb from £800,000 p.a. to a forecasted
turnover of £4 million p.a.
Adrian Peckham BSc FCA – Director and Company Secretary
Adrian qualified as Chartered Accountant 1988. He spent 10 years following qualification
working in industry in Financial Director roles within service businesses, including
contract cleaning.
He returned to private practice in 1998 and became a partner in a firm of Chartered
Accountants. He has several business interests including being a shareholder and
director in Install CCTV Limited, UK Business Watch Limited and ICL Security Limited.
Adrian has worked in the security businesses since 1999, and is responsible for
the financial aspects of each business. Adrian claims responsibility for recruiting
Phil Hall, despite Darren Elvin being the introducer!
Adrian continues to give commercial business advice on a day to day basis through
the accountancy practice to a wide variety of owner managed businesses.
Andy King – Regional Manager
Andy has recently joined ICL to ensure the company conforms to all British Standards
and works to maintain our quality management system. Andy has overall day to day
responsibility for the day to day operations of the company. Andy has a vast and
diverse experience within the security industry which ranges from corporate and
close protection to commercial and construction provision.
Andy has provided security management for Harrods, Asprey The Crown Jewellers, and
Bank of America. Andy's work ethic is strong, approachable management and customer
satisfaction is paramount to all his many achievements.
John Boden – Contract Manager
John has vast experience in the security industry he joined the Police 1981 and
served for 17 years at various inner city stations of London. On his retirement
from the Police he joined Profile Security as a Manager. From there he joined Charter
Security as a Contracts Manager and was responsible amongst other projects for guarding
the Channel Tunnel Rail link during its construction. In January 2007 john decided
to join Tag K9 as a Manager where he gained good experience of the use of Guard
dogs in the Security industry. Whilst working within the commercial sector John
has been responsible for contracts with Morgan Vinci, Nutalls, Eurostar, London
Borough of Newham, West Ham Utd Football Club. John joined ICL in 2008 and is now
responsible for a portfolio of £2,000,000 per annum.
Darren Watkins – Contract Manager
After an apprenticeship as a mechanic and some time as a Special Police Officer,
Darren joined a grounds maintenance company and very quickly worked his way up to
Area Manager. After 5 years in this company Darren did a further 2 years as an Area
Manager for another grounds maintenance company. In 2000 Darren joined Impact
Security as an officer and before long was promoted to a surveillance officer, Darren
continued in surveillance for 5 years then after a year out of the Security Industry
spent in driving/distribution Darren returned to Impact Security to run a team of
officers on the CTRL Line contract after nine months Darren was promoted to Operations
Manager running Impact Security reporting to the Company MD. Darren then joined
ICL on the 5th March 08 as a Contracts Manager and is now reasonable for the running
of the DLR Taylor Woodrow, DLR Morgan-est., Orient Way Balfour Beatty and the Kajima
contracts.
Phillip Fotheringham-Matt – Contract Manager
Phillip started in the Security Industry at the age of eighteen working as a Security
Officer. He worked his way up to Head Controller/Supervisor. After a year and a
half out of the industry he gained a position as an Office Manager within another
Security Company based in Bedfordshire. Phillip was responsible for Personnel, Recruitment,
Vetting and Office Administration. He was a key figure in the company obtaining
and retaining SIA Approved Contractor Status over a two year period. Phillip later
took a break from work to travel around Australasia and South East Asia before taking
up his position with ICL Security Ltd.
Chris Edgar – Office Manager
Chris has worked within the security industry for almost 15 years after re-commencing
work further to raising a family and prior to that working within the banking industry.
She worked her way up from Administration Assistant to Office Manager also managing
client accounts such as the Metropolitan Police, large Blue Chip companies and prestigious
London Hotel groups. Her experience has been predominantly within Electronic Security
but she has worked closely with Guarding Companies. Joining ICL's team a short while
ago in October 2008 as Office Manager, Chris is continuing in her role to not only
manage the administration department but to continue with and focus on business
development/customer liaison and more recently has taken on the role of Quality
Manager to monitor/maintain our newly accredited BS EN ISO 9001: 2008.
