MANNED GUARDING SERVICES

Manned Guarding is the backbone of our security company. Our officers are used in various roles, from building sites industrial estates, to reception duties.  We offer a static security guard service throughout the Southeast of England. Great care is taken during induction & on site (assignment specific) training of staff - meeting the demanding expectations of discerning clients and consumers. The scope of static guarding assignments is wide ranging and ICL Security operations management is experienced in matching people to role requirements.

As a direct result of increasing crime, static security guarding has grown noticeably in public access buildings, in line with increased incidents of verbal and physical abuse. Employers and public service providers face growing pressures to ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors. All ICL Security personnel receive formal Security Industry training and have a current SIA licence. They have to pass SIA approved examinations on the subject of conflict management; early recognition of hostility is key to calming and defusing situations, which could otherwise escalate into ugly and potentially, costly issues.

• Hospitals: Casualty departments are becoming increasingly busy, resulting in over crowding, providing a potential flash point for violence or anti social behaviour. Our personnel are trained to deal with such incidents and relieve medical staff from the burden of security conflicts leaving them free to deal with medical matters.

• Schools: We can provide a visual presence at the school gate or within the grounds of the school; recent events in the news have highlighted physical conflicts between pupils. Over the years the problems facing schools in an ever more troubled society have grown beyond what teaching staff should be expected to deal with, our presence has been proven to reduce the fear of bullying.  The aim of this service is to provide a safer environment for pupils, parents and teachers.

STATIC GUARDING

Our people on the ground are the people who protect your assets but also project your image, as well as our own. They are therefore chosen carefully by trained and experienced personnel, for their suitability for your role. Detailed assignment instructions are drawn up in partnership with you; these then form the basis of the officers’ on-going duties.

Our people are managed and incentivised well; in order to maintain levels of enthusiasm and diligence. We will regularly report to you on service levels being delivered and work in partnership with you, to ensure there is a process of continual improvement. All staff are vetted in accordance with BS 7858.

MOBILE/DOG PATROLS

Our Mobile Patrols are an effective deterrent for those who do not require a 24hour security presence on their premises.  Visits by our Mobile Patrol Section are extremely high profile and very effective as these patrols are carried out on a random basis. 

This service is tailored to meet your exact requirements, often we are asked to carry out routine internal patrols which could be to close windows, ensure that machines are switched off and to check the welfare of any staff you have on site working late etc, On many occasions incidents have been averted due to the diligence of our patrol officers. ICL Security undertakes this service with our experienced officers in fully livered vehicles and where required with a fully trained handler and security dog.

In addition to these duties our mobile patrols have been utilised by clients to back up static officers at a time of major incidents or just to man the reception thus enabling the static officer to carry out patrols.

This service is often combined with our Key Holding, Alarm Response and CCTV Monitoring service.

KEY HOLDING & ALARM RESPONSE

Guidelines issued by Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) & Association of British insurers (ABI).

• At least two Keyholders must be available for 24hour response.

• They must be available via telephone 24hours a day.

• They must live within twenty minutes of the premises.

• They must have knowledge of the alarm system and premises.

• Not complying with these terms could invalidate your insurance.

When your alarm sounds in the early hours who does your central station call?




ICL Security Will respond and attend your premises within 20 minutes with a uniformed security officer and a dog in a fully livered vehicle.  Your keys will contain no information regarding your premises.  This service is fully insured. If your alarm needs to be dealt with by an engineer we will liaise with your alarm company on your behalf and stay on the premises until the system is reset.

REMOTE CCTV MONITORING

CCTV systems can be remotely monitored from our specialist surveillance centre. In addition, a wide range of other security tasks can be fulfilled. For example:

• Camera systems can be remotely controlled, as well as monitored
  
• Unauthorised Visitors and intruders can be challenged via a Public address system
  
• Access can be controlled
  
• Staff can be monitored; helping with your duty of care to your employees
  
• Valuable assets can be closely watched
  
• Lights can be turned on or off
  
• Doors can be opened and closed

CCTV MONITORING/CONTROL ROOM SERVICES

ICL Security operates a 24 hour closed circuit television monitoring station and security control room which is equipped with the two market leaders for remote monitoring “Adpro” & “Dedicated Micros” these are both firewall and password protected. This surveillance equipment is capable of monitoring both your business premises and home. It will allow you and your family to live in peace, and personnel to operate in a safe environment. We have the ability to speak to staff or intruders via integrated PA systems; it is also possible to control lighting and access control. Lone workers are often targeted by intruders.

 
When the system is armed the camera covered by the sensor will activate allowing our Control Room Staff to see & record any incident as it occurs. If the cause is wildlife or environmental it can be ruled out to prevent false alarms. If there are suspects on site then our Control Room Staff can deploy a Mobile Patrol Officer to investigate and if needed the Police or other emergency services will be called.

We also understand that clients do not wish to have the expense of a control room to monitor their staff out of hours our automated checkcall system can be used at very reasonable rates to monitor guards or lone workers. We are also available to take out of hour’s service calls for engineers, facilities or on call service workers.

RISK & THREAT ASSESSMENTS

Our analysis will provide you with recommendations that will allow your business to run securely and/or it will allow you and your family to live in peace, and be secure.  Those individuals that fail to flesh out and test threat profiles run the risk of underestimating the course and likelihood of the threat.  The assessment will normally consist of seven elements.

• Conduct risk analysis

• Assess operations security
• Make recommendations to the client

Have you had the same security provider for a number of years? Is the threat real or construed?

SECURITY SCREENING/VETTING BS:7858:2006

We will screen and clear your staff for their 5-year work history or back to school if necessary.  This is now a normal requirement for most companies within the UK.  Are you involved with security Industry?  Then your staff must be vetted to BS 7858:2006 to confirm to your insurance companies requirements, and trade association standards.  Many I.T contractors and Building contractors now use our services to open the door to government contracts!

The process includes:

• Current address verification
• Previous address verification if less than three years
• I.D documentation verified
• 5 year written employment verification
• 2 personal written references                                                           
• Consumer credit report
• Professional qualification verification
• Count court judgements
• Insolvency/bankruptcy search

Once the process is complete:  

• You will receive an A4 folder with all the relevant details enclosed

• Most clients use this an personnel file for the employee

• It will pass the requirements of your insurance company

• It will pass any inspections by the NSI, BSI, BSIA, IPSA etc

Our Surveillance Operatives are all either ex-police or armed service personnel that are very experienced in this type of work. We have been known to follow suspects across the UK for several days without being detected.

AVIATION SECURITY

 ICL Security provides Airport security whether it is perimeter or airside.  All staff are fully trained to DFT standards when dealing with the searching of persons, baggage or vehicles in specific areas and are fully compliant with air side driving procedures. 

Our objectives are to safeguard passengers, crew, ground personnel and the general public against acts of unlawful interference within the confines of an airport.  We also seek to protect aircraft and facilities serving civil aviation, such as fuel, catering, air navigation facilities and the premises of listed air cargo agents, against acts of unlawful interference.
